Entertainment As the main urban centre of the emerging metropolitan municipality of Buffalo City, East London offers a variety of options to visitors and locals alike who are looking for day or night-time entertainment.

Numbers Dance Club
The well-known nightspot of Numbers in Beacon Bay has proved an attraction most recently for the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Jonty Rhodes. A regular host to nationally-acclaimed Disc Jockeys or comedians such as Barry Hilton (“the cousin”), Numbers is very popular with young adults. Teen nights are also hosted where adult attendance is not permitted.

Cinema Complexes
There are modern cinema complexes at the Hemingways Mall as well as the Vincent Park Shopping Centre, with the screening of numerous daily shows to suit any preference.

The Guild Theatre
The Guild Theatre has taken on a new lease on life in recent years with the regular visits of a variety of popular music shows, locally-produced ballet and theatrical productions on offer. Nationally-profiled comedians such as Marc Lottering also regularly visit the theatre and play to full houses.
